Things have been going okay here at Lakeshore. The foreign trailer is still ridiculous. I'm always finding myself saying things like, "you can't put beer cans in the freezer over night." , or "you shouldn't prepare your raw chicken on the counter like that." The language too is getting better. The other day there was a little quarrel about the mess and one goes, "No, fuck you, fuck this, fuck it." Couldn't help but laugh my ass off when I heard that one. I've been trying to not to spend much money at the bar either. Although, the other night I know I had about 8 different shots and didn't pay for any one of them. There was one that even included some pyrotechnics. I was able to acquire some King Cobra's from Fresno....so those, as you know, keep me company. I have a certain someone too that I've been spending a lot of time with. His name is Randy and he's great. I think it's quite exclusive and, yes, I am still going to Mammoth this season. He knows a lot of people down there ;) Alright that's enough for now. More later. Gotta finish that resin bowl.

    Reggaeton
I don't know why I delayed this update until now. I'm still really into my same antics. Although just a little less rowdy....thusfar. My days consist of this: I clean cabins with 3 guys from Turkey. They happen to be my roommates as well. You should hear the way they talk. I take total blame for all of it, or I should say credit for it. They approach me all the time saying, "What the fuck are you doing?" and today Ulvi told me, "Yea, whatever, fuck it." "pissed off", "fuck off", "big pussies", "shitfaced" "fucking wasted", pretty much anything with "fuck" in it. I go to the bar quite a bit. I have my lunch in there while Keri's on her shift sometimes. It's great. Jager bombs are the word out here. Saturdays, include the High Sierra Regatta races and a dance that Keri also bartends. The people are great too, if I didn't mention. Other than the many foreigners I live with, there's the locals. It's weird how I find myself in these places. I wonder where I'll end up next.

    HUNT LK
So if it hasn't been known yet. I did move back to California. After a week in Fresno and a couple fun days in L.A. I got a job up at Huntington Lake. The weather is much cooler and the lake is still beautiful. The first day I worked we all went out on Keri's boat. I got to drive while the Bibb's danced in the back. Someone fell in twice and I used the lake as a restroom more than once. Don't know why I shared that. I've been drinking a lot here due to the fact that my friend Keri is the bartender at the only bar here. Needless to say I'm there most of my day. I live with 11 foreigners in a double-wide trailer too. Did I mention that? Four Russians, 3 Turks, 2 Malaysians, 1 African and 1 Ecuadorian. Today they got to take a day trip to Fresno. I think they were very excited. Until then of course they get to the valley and realize its 104 degrees. Tonight I am not sure exactly what I'll do. Everytime I've said this though, I end up at the bar anyways. We'll see. I gotta go back to work now. There are many new pictures of this place that I need to post. Soon I will get them on this internet thingy.

    OT baby
In a matter of minutes last night, a simple gathering turned into an all out beer pong party. As much as I hate this game I am starting to get pretty good at it. However, I can't get too drunk or else I start spilling cups. Which means I never usually have those 5 game winning streaks like most. I was incredibly wasted and I think at one point I was whooing in peoples faces. The night ended in me showing some guys how to shoot innocent people with a shotgun on GTAIV. It was silly. It finally stopped snowing today. All day yesterday and the days before we were accumulating a foot and over. Crazy Colorado weather. I recently got hurt the other day while bumping lenawee. Remember that 3oo pound chair that runs at 550 feet per second? Well it clipped me so hard in the thigh that I was unable to walk for at least a couple days. Unfortunately, I can't ride till next week. Fortunately, it was Worker's Comp.

Damn there was like 10 inches on my car this morning. This is some month of May. As much as I wanna say I'm over it, I am so not. We don't get ride breaks here at the Basin which is unforntunate cause I woulda got first chair for sure today. I just got a break and took a run and went through a double black, in my uniform. Whatever, they can't hold back a powderslut like myself. I've been working sooo much lately. Six days a week, 7-5. I've been smoking a lot more weed than usual lately. Partly due to the fact that I'm broke and it's all that'll be shared and I have just been straight up exhausted. Although tonight, I may make myself a few cocktails. Cheap vodka's....cheap right?

    top oh mo ho
I am all set for a top shack today. I have a subway sandwich, 2 ipods, a couple "safety hits", and plenty of sleep. Tomorrow is my only day off so I better make tonight good. Yesterday, I went to Breck to clear up some debt and to my suprise kinda, there were people partying for cinco de mayo. Beer pong tables outside, long boarding, free mushrooms. There were still a few friends of mine still livin there and the sunset as well was incredible. Let's see what tonight holds in store for me. I have a few plans but nothing set in stone. Check back....time to shred.

    UNKLE
Today is Saturday, so needless to say every chair is loaded and bumped by myself. I worked the bottom of Montezuma yesterday, it was my first time ever being down there and it was dumping the entire time. Can you believe it? May 1st and we get a foot and a half of powder. My arms are killing me and I already have bruises on my legs from chairs and boards whacking me. It's good to be back. I'm still very broke but it hasn't stopped me from getting especially high and wasted every night. The people are nice here. As you can imagine, most of them are trippin on mushrooms. They like psychedelics here. I must go back to work. The sun is out today and I'm assuming it'll stay out for the remainder of the season. Time to go shred bitches.

I started working at the Basin yesterday. I bumped Pali chair for like 5 hours. I'm not used to this physical work. Keystone's still the same. Drugs are always the surrounding the buildings, however it's easier for me to say no, considering Keystone's supply is always shitty. The first night I was here, the guy I was staying with had just got like a pound of mushrooms. Summer is getting near, obviously. I can't wait to go back to California to see some of you peeps. As soon as I get the money I will leave this cold, bitter place. Until then, I shall ride as much as possible, regain some muscle I lost some time ago and possibly trip really hard. I don't have a computer at the moment, I'm currently using the comp in our locker room right now. I gotta go back now, to shovel more and more snow.

I moved out of my apartment in Breckenridge today. I was sad to leave it. I definitely had some wild times. It was a good season as well. I got to ride a lot this season, not to mention all the first chair I got on all those powder days. Ahhhhh. I went to the Basin the other day and what a non surprise. Kegs being tapped at 10 in the morning and everyone still around gettin crazy. I start my old lifty job on Monday. Time to get strong again. The count down begins. After the Basin, Renee is to be found in a town near you.

TOday was my last day working at Breck mountain. It was sunny as all hell and I have developed a new goggle tan. What next? Well, I still have post season at A-Basin where I'll probably work as a lifty, saving up to go back to california. We had our scanner party a few days ago, which ended in total mayhem at a local bar where many shots were being bought. Snowballs were being thrown inside, people were being table topped all over the place, not to mention the bowls being smoked outside the door with my supervisors. It was a good time. I feel a little sad about leaving here. I made only a few good friends out here but I feel my time is up here in Colorado. It's not over yet though. After tomorrow (420), everyone is off and has the week off. So you can imagine the party's that will occur. I'll keep you updated on the festivities: I will start drinking......now.

I've been avoiding this update for a reason I don't know of. I've been pretty busy lately...like always. The snows been pretty good lately. Last week we had a 3 foot dump while getting another foot throughout the day. Gosh, I love powder. I've become one of those "powdersluts" I always hated when I first started working a resort. This week though, it's been hot as fuck. I'm gonna attempt to explain to you guys, although considering most of you live in CA, you might not understand. Yesterday and today it's been about 40 degress and I wouldn't be surprised if it hit the 50's. Definitely, t-shirt riding. Sunny days are nice, except no matter how much sunscreen I put on I still manage to get an even more distinguishable goggle tan. The jobs been pretty awesome though. I've gotten pretty good at pulling passes so the extra cash on my check is quite nice. I played edward 40 hands the other night and lost. I was incredibly drunk and took longer to finish my cobras than everyone else. The night pretty much ended in non recollection. I worked the next day so when I woke up, there was someone next to me, lots of empty beers on the floor and a certain residue on my desk that implied I consumed more than just alcohol. Drugs around this place are beginning to get absurd. It's become too easy and this concerns me. Another night, my roommate had a party here and by the end of the night there was a large mirror in the living room everyone was using at once.
My future plans are to live and work at Mammoth mountain in California. That's right. However, before this happens, I'm going to jump in an RV w/ some friends here and go festival hopping. So far, Bonnaroo, 10,000 lakes and All Good, are on the list. I'm excited for this. SO excited.

    day in the life.....
Okay. I know I know. So much has happened. However nothing too much in variety. Breckenridge has much more party's than tenderfoot ever had. I swear there was a week where there was a huge ass party in every apartment. One in which I danced on some tables and people crowd surfed. The bars aren't bad either. Actually, let me go back a little. The entire month of January was good. Beyond good. The party's were prime and the snow was epic. There were a couple of work days where I rode all day on fresh powder. I got a new Never Summer for Christmas which rides the shit out of fresh powder. Can you guys understand this lingo? New words I've learned: yacked out, bro hoes, pro hoes, cougars, and plenty of steeze. Unfortunately, at the same time it's been the poorest I've ever been. I do favors for people and I get paid in Cobras. There are some days where I think I'm addict and others where I think I'm an alcoholic. Certain pay days a bunch of us will buy everything you can imagine and rage for days. I recently lost a lot of music as well. Everything from Guided By Voices to The Velvet Underground I lost forever. This is sad to even type. Fortunately, most of it is still on my iPod. Needless to say, my iPod is very dear to me. I think after this season I might leave Colorado but I'm not sure. Things are going well here, but nothing is even potentially keeping me here. Where should Renee go? One thing I do think of is Radiohead in Amsterdam. Who's down?

    I miss shows.
    I miss beach.
    I miss new music.
    I miss Bonni.
    I miss Dub Vee Boys.
    I miss destruction.

    update
I just realized I haven't posted in quite some time. A lot has happened and a lot hadn't happened. At first when I moved in things were a little rocky. I'm glad to say it's gotten better. I just got promoted to lead position at work a few days ago and also its snowed about 3 feet now since Thursday. Things are looking good. I'm currently hanging out with a lot of people from the east coast, Mass, Vermont, Rhode Island, etc. Breck is a funny place. No one smokes here but man do they like to drink. It's a good change for sure. It's great here because Main St. is just a bus ride away and there are so many bars there. Last weekend I went out and saw a band my bosses were in and probably made a fool outta myself. I don't remember much but what I heard was that I danced my ass off with some light sabers in my hand and I woke up in a trailer with someone. So....yes things are going well.

i finally got to a computer. however i only have 10 minutes. so excuse the grammatical errors. i live in breckenridge and i snowboard every day. the people here are really good so i gotta step it up. i got a new roommate who is only 19 but i think corruption is a possibility. i really like it here. today i woke up to a beautiful snow fall. however, my car had some problems....like my wheels being frozen and locking up. all is good though. my daily routine consists of this: taking bus to work, scan tickets, talk to cute boys, and ride alllll daaaaayyyy long. i get off at 3 so happy hour all the time. i miss my friends back at keystone but i visit them every so often and they come here as well. oh yea, one more thing. bonni where are you dude!!!!??? riding, drinking, hot guys duuuudde!

    one and only
I guess now's a good enough time to talk about my weekend in Vegas. Believe it or not, it's taken me about 3 days to actually recover. The concert was such a fucking trip. I use the word "trip" in every sense of the word. After some crazy times in California, good times in the No, getting really trashed on my birthday and getting physically abused by a real psychopath, the party went on full swing once we arrived in Vegas. The Saturday show was sooooo good. I candy flipped the entire time and let me tell you everyone was dressed up as some strange, weird, thing....gosh it was crazy. Watching M.I.A was like watching the Cirque De Soleil Zumanity show, and watching Iggy Pop was like watching a real live porno on stage. I still remember him saying, "Come dance up here with the Stooges, break this shit down, fuck everything up!" Sheer madness. Not to mention Daft Punk's pyramid light show...woooooooo. We danced till our heads fell off. Sunday was crazy too, I decided to roll the entire time and did I roll everywhere. I probably did too much, but Bonni said I was trippin her out all night. I lost my glasses during the rage concert, as well as my voice, and left the arena with only a few bruises. Fucking awesome. The rest of the night in Vegas was kind of a blur but well worth it. The drive back here was hell but we made it. I've been staying at my sisters pad while they're out of town, however I start my new job at Breck on Monday. I'll also move into a new housing complex next week as well. New beginnings.

Today is my birthday. It's funny cause I also wrote an entry for my 22nd birthday too. It's weird how one year can change entirely. I've been in Fresno for the past few days and am currently about to drive down to Los Angeles for the remainder until Vegoose. I'm pretty excited. I've already moved out of the house in Dillon so I really have nothing waiting for me back at the mountains. No time to stress now. Party time.

    oh yea
It has snowed. The trees have turned yellow and the mountain tops have turned white. The golf course is closed but we are still working. I still have no idea what we're doing but it has something to do with the preservation of the course during the winter.

I lived in Denver last weekend while my sister and her husband went out of town. I walked to the bars, slept in a big bed and lived like a queen. I took Jewel to the mountains where Bonni and I hiked up St. Mary's Glacier and rode the first powder to drop this season. It was really awesome, refreshing and very windy.

I never wrote about the Arcade Fire/LCD Soundsystem show: I halved a bottle of Jager with B and danced my ass off during LCD. I gotta say LCD was a better show than Arcade. They didn't play "No Love Lost" but they did do a sweet ass 15 minute show of the song "Yeah". I saw Arcade Fire at the Troubadour about 2 years ago and that show was beyond awesome. This one was good, really good, but they didn't play "My Body Is A Cage", which kinda bummed me out. Nonetheless, the sound was fucking amazing. Red Rocks is really what it's cracked up to be.

On Monday's at Wild Bills down the street they have 2 for 1 shots. I don't know what came over Bonni but she bought me at least 6 shots of Jager and plenty other random shooters. This is what happened: I ripped her sleeves off while kicking ass at foosball. She fell off a stool and took others down with her while being cut off from the bar. I don't remember getting home. However, once there I was tackled at least three times. I slapped Red in the face. I got smacked in the head by the didjeridoo and threw up in the same toilet at the same time with B. It was weird. And I don't know why I just wrote that. Our lease is almost up and it's almost time for the drive to California. You heard me.

PS. I got a job at Breckenridge resort.

And finally, pictures of my place of work:

    dos', rolls, nugs, rocks
Everyone's been really anticipating the snow lately. We had our first frost at the golf course the other day and had snow capped mountains till about 1 in the afternoon. People say next week for sure.

I was at Red Rocks all weekend. STS9, a local hippie favorite group, played a 2-day show there. Being it was my first weekend off in a while I had to go. I swear I had never seen so many dreadlocks before in my life. I didn't have tickets to go in but I did have money for the many other things being sold at Red Rocks. The people were all so cool and so fucked up. There was live music in the parking lot, along with weird hippies spinning balls of fire. There were so many things to look at.....especially when you're tripping balls. The "trip" was definitely one to remember. Especially climbing over large red rocks, eating organic burritos and running into everything possible. And that was only Friday night. On Saturday I spent the day in Colorado Springs and smoked an immense amount of pot along with some hash that I apparently bought the night before. Bonni met up with us before the second show was about to go on. Barely getting over my trip from the night before we found some rolls and our good friend Molly showed up. Some more rock climbing and a little rain later we end up in Denver. All I can remember from there was the large amount of crackheads surrounding a park at 4 in the morning. I guess it was the worst part of Denver we could've gone. After much nonsense we stumbled upon the afterparty of STS9, while trying to look for the Denver Diner. Nothing but sick ass dj's and lots of crazy hippies dancing. Needless to say it was a real fucking weekend.
